Welcome to My Website

I am a Westchester sculptor and my studio is surrounded by woods. My sculptures are linked to nature, to the sky, to light, to earth and water, to trees and plants and man. I work with modern materials, carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, as well as more traditional bronze, to create contemporary sculptures that are built to last forever. Outdoor sculptures celebrate the freedom of direct communication with nature. Indoor pieces are more introspective, focusing on the environment and the way we live.

My recent work consists of a series of tree sculptures. The series is about my interest in form, light, and the role of trees in our culture. The ambiguity in showing live, growing  organisms by means of hard, unyielding  metals produces a challenge that drives my work.

In art collections in Westchester and Fairfield Counties , as well as Northern New Jersey, my work has been featured in solo exhibitions at the Bridge Gallery in White Plains, the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers, and the Howland Art Center in Beacon, NY.  My sculptures are in private homes as well as corporate and commercial settings.

Images of my sculptures are shown in ten photo galleries that can be accessed by clicking on the Galleries button to the left.
